When you die what does the Mortician do to your body?

A family unit branch in recent times died on Wednesday and the viewing (open casket) is on Sunday and the funeral on Monday. How do they maintain the body "fresh" and "righteous looking" until later? Somebody said they drain the blood and cram it next to formaldehyde...is that true??
Does anybody know what they do exactly to preserve the body for so long?

We embalm the body, usually near formaldehyde. This involves making small incision above the collar bone, finding the artery and artery, and later injecting the embalm fluid into the artery. The blood is drained out of the capillary. The process take in the order of an hour and a partially. It keep the body preserved for an indefinite amount of time, sometimes months, sometimes decades, depending on a riches of other factor, such as climate, type of casket and cellar, etc.
They drain the blood and fluids from the body, steep it next to embalm fluid and put on bring in up to hold the skin looking "normal" and fix their coat.
